Among the Personal Data collected by JoinIn, either independently or through third parties, are: Usage Data; unique identifiers of devices for advertising (Google Advertiser ID or identifier IDFA, for example); number of sessions; session duration; Unique universal identifier (UUID); crash data; device information; name; surname; Tracking Tools; Camera Permission; Memory Permission; Gallery Permission; email; nationality (optional); various types of Data; User ID; Data communicated during use of the service; answers to questions; username; contact information; password; image; prefix; profile image; academic formation; area of activity; gender (optional).

Detailed information on each type of Personal Data collected is provided in the sections dedicated to this privacy policy or through specific informational texts displayed before the collection of the Data itself.
Personal Data can be freely provided by the User or, in the case of Usage Data, collected automatically during the use of JoinIn.
If not otherwise specified, all Data required by JoinIn are mandatory. If the User refuses to communicate them, JoinIn may not be able to provide the Service. In cases where JoinIn indicates some Data as optional, Users are free to abstain from communicating such Data, without any consequence on the availability of the Service or its functionality.
Users who may have doubts about which Data are mandatory are encouraged to contact the Controller.
The use of Cookies - or other tracking tools - by JoinIn or by the third-party services used by JoinIn has the purpose of providing the requested Service, in addition to the additional purposes described in this document and in the Cookie Policy.

The User assumes responsibility for Personal Data of third parties obtained, published or shared through JoinIn.

Modes and Location of Processing of Collected Data

The Controller adopts appropriate security measures aimed at preventing unauthorized access, disclosure, modification or destruction of Personal Data.
The processing is carried out using IT tools and/or telecommunication tools, with organizational modalities and with strictly related logics to the purposes indicated. In addition to the Controller, in some cases, other subjects involved in the organization of JoinIn (administrative, commercial, marketing, legal, system administrators) or external subjects (such as third-party service providers, postal carriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communication agencies) may have access to the Data, also nominated, if necessary, Responsible for Processing by the Controller. The updated list of Responsible persons can always be requested from the Data Controller.

The Data are processed at the Controller's operational sites and in any other location where the parties involved in the processing are located. For further information, please contact the Controller.
Personal Data of the User may be transferred to a different country than the one in which the User is located. For further information on the location of processing, the User can refer to the section relating to the processing of Personal Data in this privacy policy.

If not otherwise indicated in this document, Personal Data are processed and stored for the time required by the purpose for which they were collected and may be stored for a longer period due to legal obligations or on the basis of Users' consent.

Purpose of Processing Collected Data

The Data of the User are collected to allow the Controller to provide the Service, fulfill legal obligations, respond to requests or take action on behalf of the User, protect their rights and interests (or those of Users or third parties), identify potential fraudulent or harmful activities, and for the following purposes: Hosting and backend infrastructure, Statistics, Managing Contacts and Sending Messages, Monitoring Infrastructure, Commenting on Content, Registration and Authentication, Displaying Content from External Platforms, Permissions for Access to Personal Data Present on the User's Device, Contacting the User, Social Features, Payment Management, Data Collection and Online Surveys, Interacting with Social Networks and External Platforms, Interactions based on location, Collecting Preferences Related to Privacy, Registration and Authentication Provided Directly by JoinIn and Backup and Management.

Permissions for Access to Personal Data Present on the User's Device

Depending on the specific device used by the User, JoinIn may require some permissions to access the User's data present on that device, as described below.

Such permissions must be granted by the User before any information can be processed. After granting, the permission can be revoked by the User at any time. In order to revoke the permissions, the User can use the system settings or contact the Owner at the contact details provided in this document.
The procedure for checking permissions may vary depending on the device and the software used by the User.

Please consider that revoking one or more permissions may have consequences on the correct functioning of JoinIn.

In case the User grants the permissions indicated below, the related Personal Data may be subject to processing (access, modification or deletion) by JoinIn.

Camera Permission

Used to access the camera or capture images and videos from the device.

Gallery Permission

Allows access to the User's Gallery.

Memory

Used to access external shared storage devices and to read and add to them any content.
